I am an orthopedic surgeon practicing in Welkom Medi Clinic in the Free State South Africa. I manage general orthopedic problems to service the needs of the Goldfield and surrounding region. The aim is to allow all orthopaedic patients to be treated in Welkom, obviating the need for costly travel to other institutions.

I attained my basic medical degree at the UFS in 2005 and passed orthopedic training at the university of the Free State, with honours, in 2005. I have been in practice in Welkom since 2005. My special interests include joint replacement, sport injuries and complex deformity problems.

In order to be able to attend to all orthopedic problems I have attended ( and still do) various post graduate courses in joint replacement, microsurgery, shoulder arthroscopy, hip arthroscopy, spinal deformity correction and foot surgery.

From time to time I have attended leading international surgeon conferences to learn specialty skills like anterior approach hip replacement and hip arthroscopy surgery.

I am married with four lovely children. After hours I like to windsurf, do woodwork, garden and fiddle a bit with a pecan nut farm.
